Mission Statement and Aims

Every school must publish their ethos and values on their website.  At Alderley Edge Community Primary School we see our ethos and values as our Mission, Aims and School Essentials which were agreed at a joint meeting with all staff and Governors.

Mission Statement - An Inclusive Community of Lifelong Learners

Our Aims

  1. We provide a secure, safe, warm and caring environment for all.

  2. We provide all children with an exciting range of experiences and opportunities to recognise their own qualities, especially their creativity and skills, regardless of their needs.

  3. We provide a curriculum that inspires and allows children to realise their own potential.

  4. We promote understanding and tolerance so enabling children to form positive relationships.

  5. We enable children to develop self-confidence, self-expression and independence to make decisions about their learning, development and future needs.

  6. We ensure that there is equality of access.

  7. We promote professional relationships and respect between all the school's stakeholders so modelling a positive attitude for our children.

  8. We promote and maintain a positive image of our school within the Community.

  9. We fully utilise all our school and local community's resources to create and sustain a positive stimulating learning environment.

School Essentials

School Essentials are the drivers for our curriculum that will enable us to shape the curriculum around the needs and wants of our school and the children. Our drivers will be…

  • Possibilities and Risk – our curriculum allows children to be inquisitive and aspire to tackle things they have never encountered before and equips them to learn to manage uncertainties and assess risk whilst having fun.

  • Philosophy – our curriculum allows children to think deeply and reflect imaginatively

  • Independence – our curriculum allows children to become independent learners and take the initiative with their own learning, development and future needs.
