I just wanted to say congratulations and thank you for all the effort that clearly went in to the choir's performance this morning . Alderley Community primary were outstanding and the singing was a real credit to the school. They are very deserving of their fantastic comments from the judges and of their third place ( although I would have put them as joint winners with Bowden...not biased of course! ) Well done to the whole team and to Miss Rose and Miss Oduah whose hard work really paid off. Just wanted to show my appreciation... I was so proud to be a part of the school. REPLY - Thank you so much for leaving this lovely feedback. Regards Chris Perry (Headteacher)

Just a quick note to thank you, your staff and of course the choir for taking part in our carol service last week. Lots of comments on how well the children sang and how smart they looked. Some said 'the highlight of the service'. REPLY - Many thanks for your comments. I will pass on your remarks to the children. We are, as always, very proud of them. Regards C. Perry (Headteacher)

Mrs Sym, I just wanted to express my thanks at giving your time at the Maths Clinic yesterday. As a parent I found it an incredibly useful session in terms of understanding how to support Libby with Maths by using the correct methods and steps. I know time is precious so I really appreciate you organising this session and your offer of continuing such sessions into the future. I've seen a real improvement in Libby's confidence with maths over the last couple weeks, and an enthusiasm to show us at home the methods she is learning within school. To quote Libby: "I love Maths now, and that's because I have the best maths teacher in the world"!!!!! Thank you again for giving us your time! REPLY - Thank you for taking the time to post your comments. We are continually reviewing our processes to ensure we support parents and children on the learning journey so it is good to know that things are working so well in Year 2. Regards Chris Perry (Headteacher)

A huge thank you to Miss Platt and Mrs Gallimore for running the reading and writing workshops for parents last month. As a parent of a child just starting at the school I found these hugely insightful, especially the tips as to how we can make the process more enjoyable. It will help me support my child, alongside the school, in the months ahead. REPLY - Many thanks for your feedback - it is great to hear that it was so worthwhile. This feedback helps us ensure that these sorts of activities are repeated. Regards Chris Perry (Headteacher)

Dear Chris, Well done to you and all your staff for a brilliant sports day yesterday. I was tired just being a spectator... but you were on your feet all day and it looked so complicated getting all the children moving around all the activities in a limited space and so perfectly timed. Looked like an organisational nightmare to me but you pulled it off brilliantly! I'm sure you're all looking forward to a well deserved, restful summer. Regards

Hi - please could school clarify whether jojo bows are allowed? I see a lot of girls wearing them, but other teachers are not allowing them. It would be really helpful if policy could be clarified please. Thank you REPLY - Apologies for slight delay but the system had a fault. The girls can currently wear the jojo bows but they would need to remove them for PE and other such activities. Kind regards. Chris Perry (Headteacher)
