VLE or Virtual Learning Environment
This section of the school website is for our children, their parents and the staff.
It will give access so parents know what their child is learning during the term ahead, the curriculum that they are following in each subject in the term ahead, what their children's timetable is, what homework is being done this week, what's been going on this term and much more.
If Parents require any further detail about the curriculum their child is following then they should contact their child's class teacher by telephone, email or in person (after school is always best).
For visitors to our website a summary of each curriculum area can be found on the school website under the 'About' tab.
NB - Usernames and Passwords are required to gain access to the VLE. Parents and children will have been issued with this information.
If you have lost or forgotten your username and/or password then please contact school via email firstname.lastname@example.org. A new username and/or password will then be sent to you via ParentMail. If you are not a user of ParentMail then the new username and/or password will need to be collected from the school office in person.
What is a VLE?
A personal online learning space forms part of a wider set of technologies called a learning platform. It supports learning by providing access to...
- tools - for monitoring and assessing, communication and collaboration, eg email, forums wikis, blogs, and for creating, developing and managing digital content
- an individual area for each learner (and member of staff) where they can store their work and personalise its layout to meet their needs
- safe and secure, anytime/anywhere access to learning resources.
Any children who start in September in the reception class (or in any other year group during the year) should receive a letter within two weeks informing them of their username and password.
If for any reason you do not receive a letter then please contact the school office.
