Thank you to Running Bear who visited all the classes in school and taught the children the art of running for speed and endurance.

The children had great fun and learnt lots of new techniques in the process.

Let's Dance for the Olympics!

All the children in school had a fabulous dance session with a visiting dance company.

In only half an hour they performed a complete dance that incorporated freeze frames, dance movements and actions to celebrate the Tokyo Olympic Games.  From the Olympic rings , track and field events, winning a gold medal and lifting the Olympic flame, their dance had it all!

Children you were fantastic and certainly deserved your gold medal!

The children received expert coaching and played on 'real' courts. Watch out Wimbledon - here we come!

Sports week got off to an active start in Year 3 as we walked up to the top of the Edge for our snack and drink!   The children practised their map reading skills, recognised rocks they had learnt about in science and had some amazing views.  They managed to climb over 100 steps to achieve their goal!   Well done all, and a big thank you to all our helpers.

Hockey Stars in the Making

Day 2 of Sports Week and Year 5 honed their hockey skills at Alderley Edge Hockey Club....  champions in the making!

We even had our own official Year 5 photographer.
