What is the PTA?

The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a collective of parents, teachers and other volunteers who work selflessly to ensure our children receive the best education experience. The entire school community are supporters of the PTA and their contributions, no matter how big or small, are invaluable..

How does the PTA benefit the school?

As a community, we raise vital funds for school.  This is done through various charitable activities and events.  Our major events include Bonfire Night, Breakfast with Father Christmas and a fabulous Christmas Hamper raffle, a Summer fair and raffle.  We also run Break the Rules days, discos, cake sales, the Bales Race and so much more.  All these events give parents and family members the opportunity to volunteer their time, knowledge and expertise, which enrich their child’s learning through these experiences. Perhaps the most important thing that can be said about the PTA is that the children love seeing us in school helping out with these events, not to mention the fun they have!

How can you help?

We welcome whatever help you can offer. We always need volunteers to help set-up and run our events, become a class rep or part of the PTA committee. It could be as simple as turning up to one of our events, or buying a cake or a raffle ticket now or then. Do as much or as little as you feel able to. Contact any of the committee members or class reps to discuss further.

Class Reps

Each class has a class rep; our wonderful reps provide us with a point of contact for each class; they gather ideas and feedback, organise class events, and are fantastic at gathering volunteers. Without their help, and your support, the PTA couldn’t exist.

Our current project

Over the last 6 years, the PTA has raised over £125k for the new Multi-Sport Games Area (MUGA) that you now see on the field.  Now we are focusing our attentions on upgrading the playgrounds, giving them a refresh and adding some more fun for the children.

How can I help?

Anyone and everyone can help! Everyone has a skill set that the PTA will be able to utilise;

Event management, Graphic design, Printing, Cooking, Bar Staff, Face Painting, Carpentry, Arts and Crafts, Baking, Photography and many, many more!  You can also help by promoting an event, selling raffle tickets, running a stall, putting stickers on the tombola prizes, just generally being there to support our work is a huge help.  The more people that are involved in our work, the lighter the load. Our committee are a real friendly bunch and is extremely welcomin
