Year 5 Welcome the Fire Service
Year 5 were excited to welcome the Fire Service into school for an important road safety workshop. The firefighters talked to the children about how to stay safe in a variety of situations, including crossing roads, travelling in cars, cycling safely, and being aware of all kinds of hazards and distractions. Through demonstrations, real-life examples, and lots of questions, pupils learned why wearing seatbelts matters, how to use pedestrian crossings correctly, and the importance of being visible when walking or cycling. The session was informative, interactive, and helped our Year 5s think carefully about the choices they make near roads every day.
