We have been made aware of an issue involving books authored by Andy Cope, including the Spy Dogs, Spy Cats, and Spy Pup series. These books contain a link intended to direct readers to the author’s website for additional story content. Unfortunately, the domain is no longer owned by the author and now leads to a third-party site publishing highly inappropriate material.

Please note:

• The stories themselves are safe to read.
• Puffin has paused sales, and libraries/retailers have removed these books.

What we ask from parents:

• Check if your child has any books by Andy Cope at home and remove them.
• If your child has borrowed these from school, please return them urgently.
• Remind your child to speak to an adult before following any links in books.
• If attending book fairs or events, ensure these titles are not included.
