PTA Updates
Your PTA needs more help, which in turn will help raise vital funds for the school with all benefits going directly back to your own children’s education and enrichment. Please read on to see if you can help us and don’t hesitate to ask questions on a no-ties basis!
We are specifically looking for the following roles, some of which are brand new and so there is the opportunity to add your own ideas and influence, in accordance with your own capacity.
Match Funding Ambassador
Did you know our PTA is a registered charity? Does the company you work for offer a match funding scheme?
Match funding is when an employer agrees to match the funds an employee raises or donates to a registered charity, often on a £1:£1 basis.
It is one of the easiest ways for a School PTA to DOUBLE its fundraising totals without asking parents or supporters to donate more cash.
Our PTA are really keen to maximise this potential income stream and hope there is a parent out there that is willing to publicise this amongst other parents and get more companies and employees on board.
This is a new role to the PTA and can take on whatever shape you like, in accordance with what capacity you have and with the PTA’s support. It seems such a shame for us as a school, and in turn the children, to miss out on this potential opportunity to double what we raise with relatively little effort so please do come forward if you can help us 🙏🙏
Social Media & PTA Marketing Lead
Working closely with our existing Events Communications Lead Jude Evetts. Creating social media posts for the PTA Instagram account, designing seasonal posts and driving hype around events. Following and commenting upon appropriate accounts from the local community to enhance local relationships. Showcasing our PTA as a “brand” and raising fundraising awareness.
Sustainability champion
Again this is a new role to the PTA and can become as big or as small as you’re able to make it. We are hoping the individual will be able to look at ways we can become more sustainable; doing our bit for the environment by looking at the reduction of plastic products and waste for example. Is there a more environmentally friendly way we can become doing things without significantly impacting our overall costs?
This role could work closely with the pre-loved uniform co-ordinator so would perhaps suit two friends working together. We are open to ideas on this!
Pre-loved uniform co-ordinator
The PTA needs help from someone to keep a stock check of all donated pre-loved uniform, to then organise and run uniform “pop up shops” approximately 3 times a year (one a term) as capacity suits. They could work alongside the Sustainability champion or one individual could amalgamate both roles, with no pressure as to the amount of time contributed as these are new roles for the PTA.
School Lottery Ambassador
Your focus will be to promote and drive forward the school lottery scheme. A weekly draw costing just £1 a ticket with 40p of every £1 going directly to our PTA fund. If we can drive 100 weekly tickets this would generate £2080 a year for our school to directly benefit our children. With weekly cash prizes ranging from £25 to potentially £25K what’s not to love! It sells itself! We just need someone to raise awareness and get parents involved.
