Join the Alderley Edge Easter Egg Hunt – A Fun Holiday Activity for Families!
Dear Parents and Carers,
The Alderley Edge Parish Council is delighted to invite children and their families to take part in this year’s Easter Egg Hunt around the village centre.
What’s Involved?
The Easter Bunny has been busy hiding 33 specially decorated egg shapes in participating Alderley Edge businesses. Each egg contains a letter for children to collect.
- Ages 3–7: Children simply spot each egg shape and write the letter they find next to the correct business on their entry form.
- Ages 8–12: Older children use the letters they collect to work out a hidden Easter phrase.
Eggs may be displayed in shop windows, doorways, or inside the premises, so keep your eyes peeled! Please be aware that not all businesses are open all day—checking opening times is recommended.
Dates:
- Hunt runs: Saturday 28th March – Friday 10th April 2026
- Closing date for entries: Friday 10th April 2026 (return completed forms to the Alderley Edge Library)
Printed entry forms will be available at the Library later this week and can also be downloaded from this email or the Parish Council website. Full instructions are included on the form.
Prizes!
All correctly completed entries will be entered into a prize draw for a special Easter Egg.
The draw will take place on Tuesday 14th April 2026, and winners will be notified by email. Winners will also be invited to Alderley Edge Library to collect their prize and take part in a group photo for the local press.
We hope many of our families will enjoy exploring the village and taking part in this fantastic community event.
If you have any questions, please feel free to visit the Alderley Edge Parish Council website.
Wishing you all a wonderful Easter break!
Warm regards,
Julia Burnett & Penny Bell (Parish Councillor)
