Plant donations to school - can you help?
Dear Parents and Carers,
We are delighted to share that our school will be supporting the village initiative Alderley Edge in Bloom, which celebrates community pride, environmental responsibility, and the enhancement of our local surroundings.
As part of this wider village effort, we are taking the opportunity to further develop and transform our own outdoor areas so that they are greener, more welcoming, and even more inspiring for our children.
To help us achieve this, we would like to invite all families, should they wish to, to make a plant based donation to school.
We would especially welcome donations of outdoor plants such as
• Seasonal plants and flowers and boarder fillers
• Perennials
• Shrubs
• Herbs
• Pollinator friendly plants
**No poisonous or prickly plants please!**
If every family donated just one plant; we would have over 120 plants to enhance our gardens and planters!
All contributions will be greatly appreciated and will have a lasting impact on our school environment. We also hope to involve pupils in planting and caring for these areas, helping them develop a sense of responsibility and pride in their school and village.
Donations can be brought to school the week commencing 4th May and be left in our vegetable plot next to the KS1 playground.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support. Together, we can help our school and village bloom.
Yours sincerely,
Kind regards
Miss Platt
