Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 Eco-poster designs

Dear Parents and Carers,

I would like to extend a huge thank you to all the children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 who took part in designing their Eco-Poster for the competition held by Alderley Edge Parish Council, in partnership with Churches Together in Alderley. This project supports the national Recycle Now campaign and encouraged children to explore the environmental Three Rs: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Their creativity, passion and commitment to looking after our environment truly shone through in their designs, and it has been wonderful to see how engaged the children were in promoting such an important message.

We are delighted to share that all entries from the four local schools that took part are now on public display at Alderley Edge Library. Voting opens for residents and visitors from Saturday 25th October until Saturday 1st November, and we would love for you to visit the library to show your support and cast your vote.

A representative judging panel, led by Ali, Chair of the Parish Council, will select winners for each age category, along with an overall winner, the week after the voting period closes.

Please do encourage friends and family to visit the library, view the children’s brilliant work and take part in the voting. We are incredibly proud of our pupils and the difference they are making through their ideas and advocacy for a greener, more sustainable future.
