Start of term news
Dear Parents and Carers,
Happy New Year! We hope have had a wonderful Christmas break.
We wanted to let you know that school intends to be fully open Tuesday despite the snowy conditions. Our staff have worked hard today to grit paths and ensure the site is as safe as possible for everyone.
As we move further into the snowy season, please remember the following:
- On snowy days, children must bring a warm coat and a change of footwear (e.g., wellies or boots). Without these, they will not be able to play outside in the snow for safety reasons.
- In the mornings and after school, please supervise children on the playgrounds, we discourage the throwing of snowballs whilst on the school site.
- Avoid arriving on the school grounds too early at the start of the day to ensure children are not waiting too long in cold conditions.
- Those arriving at school to attend Squirrel Club before the start of the school day- please take extra care as roads and paths may be more hazardous early in the morning.
- We also recommend an extra under-layer of clothing this week, as temperatures are continuing to drop.
Thank you for your support in helping us keep the children safe, warm, and able to enjoy their time outdoors. We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow.
Kind regards,
Lyndsey Platt
