Update on National SEND Proposals
Dear Parents and Carers,
You may have seen recent media coverage regarding the government’s proposed changes to the SEND system. We would like to reassure you that these proposals are currently at consultation stage and no changes have been made at this time.
The government is seeking views on a range of national SEND reforms, and it is important to note that any future changes would take time to be considered, agreed, and implemented. Existing support, provision, and statutory processes remain unchanged.
We understand that discussions around SEND reform may cause uncertainty for some families. Please be assured that we will continue to monitor developments closely and will keep parents and carers fully informed of any confirmed updates that may affect our pupils or provision.
As always, we are committed to ensuring that every child in our school is supported, valued, and provided with the inclusive provision and opportunities they need to thrive both academically and personally.
