Year 4 finish Sports Week with a super busy day!
Year 4 started Friday with a fun-filled running session led by staff from local running shop, Running Bear. After a lively warm-up and some exciting sprint races, the class took on a series of obstacle courses – with the sack leg proving a firm favourite! They also took part in a cricket session, where they practised both overarm and underarm throws, along with catching skills. They then moved into mini games, giving them the chance to apply their bowling, batting, and fielding techniques in a fun and active way. Finally, Year 4 battled through the stifling heat to finish Sports Week with a fantastic netball coaching session led by Jo from Kingsway Power. The children focused on developing their movement, practised chest passes and throwing while on the move, and sharpened their shooting skills. They ended the session – and the week – with a thrilling house shoot-out competition. A brilliant end to an action-packed Sports Week!
