As part of Science week, the Year 6 children held a Science Fair to celebrate the Science that goes on in school. The primary objective to the project was to approach a problem scientifically and have fun. The children's brief was to:
- Ask questions and form hypotheses
- Creat an experiment to test those hypotheses
- Organise their data and draw conclusions
- Write about scientific research
- Make links to the wider world
The project had to be experimental in nature as opposed to research oriented. In other words, they had to do a test, survey, or experiment to determine the answer to their question. The fair was then open for viewing and the children from Reception to Year 4 as well as the Year 6 parents enjoyed observing the science exhibition.
